Our events run 10 am to 2pm
First, travel safely. Ensure your pets are in safe, secure containers with good ventilation such as a cat carrier. Line the bottom with a towel or fleece blanket to absorb excrement and provide a comfortable bottom for your animal.
When you arrive at Pignic, you will check in at Registration and then move to Health Checks. Health checks include weighing your guinea pig, confirming gender, and looking for obvious signs of illness or communicable disease such as lice, mites, or respiratory infections. We will also generally check for obvious lumps or bumps, check feet and eyes, and make sure your piggy seems to be in generally good health. This is not a substitute for proper vet care. You should seek veterinary services if your guinea pig is unwell.
After health checks, you will have the option of grooming services as well such as nail trims, etc.
At 11 am we will have a veggie eating contest for guinea pigs with a certificate for our 3 winners. We will also raffle off a few of our prizes at this point.
At 12 noon we will have a costume contest for guinea pigs. We have two categories - homemade and store bought or pre-made. We will have 3 winners in each category. After the contest we will also raffle off a few more prizes.
At 1 pm we will have our main raffle.
Expect it to be fun! But there are also a few things you should bring to prepare.
